Whatever you think, is your reality. How you think and the feelings behind your thoughts affect your current life and your future. Your thoughts and attitude can also affect your overall health and wellness. Are most of your thoughts positive or negative? Do you usually see the good in things or the bad? Are you grateful for what you have or do you complain about everything? If you ask yourself these questions, really think about it, and examine yourself in this context you can see what your attitude is. You may wonder why this matters. What could this possibly have to do with cancer?
Our mind and body are connected. If you live a life that is filled with negative thoughts, an ungrateful attitude, and resentful feelings toward others it will affect your body in a negative way. When you live your life with negative thought patterns you are bringing stress into your life and stress has a derogatory effect on us physically.
On the other hand positive thoughts produce positive outcomes. If you have gratitude, joy and love in your heart your chance of beating cancer is much better.
It may sound odd, but during this time in your life you should focus on joy, love, and what you have to be grateful for. There is always something to be grateful for and when you have that kind of mindset you will always come out on top. Be grateful for the healing that you already know is taking place! You have a choice; you can have an attitude where you see the good in everything or the bad. You can choose to be joyful or grumpy. Just remember that being positive can aide in the healing of cancer.
Another way to help your body heal is to release the healthy chemicals in your body. Our bodies have the ability to produce hormones and chemicals that are beneficial for mental and physical health; and have the potential to heal and strengthen the immune system. How do we release these chemicals? One way is through laughter. No one can dispute that laughter is a good thing and good for you. When we laugh endorphins are released. Endorphins are natural pain killers and give a general sense of well being. Laughter also boosts the immune system by helping antibodies attack dysfunctional and infected cells. It can also increase natural killer cells that attack viruses and some types of cancer cells. Stop watching television shows or movies that are scary or sad. Only watch funny shows and movies.
Other great ways to release those healthy chemicals is by giving and receiving love and affection. Everyone needs affection and it can be as simple as a hug. There is nothing better than to have love in your heart and to give and receive love. You don't even need to be in a relationship to experience love. You can love a child, friend, pet, sibling, God, or perhaps you love your garden. Just focus on the feeling of love. Nothing bad can ever come from focusing on love and joy. Most importantly, don't forget to love yourself!
